Fund Comparisons - Super & Pension AppleCheck
As well as publishing ratings for super funds and pension funds, we also provide fund comparisons via our online Super AppleCheck and Pension AppleCheck services. AppleCheck makes it easy to compare funds on a fair and strictly ‘apples with apples’ basis. Several of Australia’s largest super funds (with over 10 million members combined) subscribe to this service and make it available to their members at no cost.

Ratings of Super Funds and Pension Funds
Our ratings sum up our overall view on the merits of a particular super fund relative to industry best practice. Funds are awarded a rating from 5 Apples (the highest) to 1 Apple (the lowest).

We produce separate ratings for super and pension funds. You can view our current ratings

Investment Returns
Each quarter we make available the investment returns of the two most commonly used diversified investment options – the growth option (61 to 80% growth assets ) and the conservative option (21 to 40% growth assets). The growth option is where most Australians’ superannuation is invested, while the conservative option is where many older Australians are invested.
